SANRUSAN is a gallery for functional art. We believe a chair can hold a body and a question with equal seriousness, and that the most considered work being made today is the work in which design has stopped pretending it isn’t art.

A director and creative entrepreneur based in Bucharest. Founder of a video production company specialising in high-end commercial filmmaking, campaigns and brand films for fashion, lifestyle and luxury houses, and co-founder of IRIME Gallery, a multidisciplinary space joining a concept store, contemporary art gallery, creative atelier and private event venue. As founder and creative director of notRainProof, an independent fashion label devoted to craftsmanship and limited collections, he applies one standard across film, fashion and curation: precise visual identity, lasting cultural value.

Valentin Rusan

Valentin Rusan

Co-founder

A technology entrepreneur working between Romania and the United States, with a career built on data and artificial intelligence, most recently a global AI-native data platform for private markets in emerging regions. Architecture and collectible design have run through that career as a private discipline: studied, collected and practised in his own projects. SANRUSAN is that discipline made public, an institution built with the same rigour as his companies, in service of objects rather than software.
